As I learn about the names of certain ships and duties they do the better I get to track what my Dad did. He was on U.S.S. Catron and he landed troops on shore. Comments: My dad landed on Okinawa with the Seabees and was fortunate to live through that experience. He has been dead several years buy I am researching his Navy history and experiences. I especially enjoy your photos and they give me a sense of what dad went through as a sailor in the Pacific war. Thanks.
