| Comments: | I was a machinist mate 2/c on the destroyer Hugh W. Hadley when she was mortally wounded at Okinawa on May 11, l945. We were awash and sinking when an LST came along side with pumps and medical supplies. She took us under tow and truly saved our bacon. My everlasting thanks to the LST sailors and your website. |
